Welcome to Barbie Land™, an idyllic world where everyone can be who they want to be, the sun is always shining, and every night ends with a dance party. Here, every Barbie has a purpose and a role that they execute perfectly, from President to Doctor to Mermaid. However, after Barbie and Ken’s unfortunate excursion into the real world, boundaries between worlds have become blurred. Barbies have been crossing over into the Real World™ and disrupting the peace, while people from the Real World™ wreak havoc across Barbie Land™. Both governments agree that enough is enough. It is now up to a small group of select individuals within the Committee for Harmonic Oversight of Potential Partnership to Encourage Development (CHOPPED) to formulate a set of guidelines to serve as a basis for future interworld relations. Can they reconcile their fundamental ideological differences while preventing the destruction of both worlds?
Marvel Cinematic Universe: Committee for Achieving Peace with Enhanced individuals (C.A.P.E.)

CHAIR: rachel bender (rb948@cornell.edu)
Following the Battle at Leipzig-Halle Airport, the world has been waiting with baited breath to see how the United Nations plans to apprehend the remaining Avengers fugitives. With the original Avengers team divided in their acceptance of international oversight, fugitives such as Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff, have been evading officials seeking to enforce the recently ratified Sokovia Accords. This has led to public safety concerns across the globe, as well as increased tensions between enhanced individuals and world leadership. In response to the growing conflict Tony Stark cordially invites you to join the Committee for Achieving Peace with Enhanced individuals (C.A.P.E.), a gathering held on his personal yacht, with the goal of reforming the Sokovia Accords. Being in international waters, all official sanctions will be temporarily suspended for the period of the conference to ensure that all critical stakeholders may work towards mutual understanding and a better solution for peacekeeping efforts. It is the committee’s job to balance the personal liberties of enhanced individuals with global security concerns and achieve a compromise that can return the world to stability and peace. Can members successfully reunite the Avengers team? Will the world live in harmony with enhanced individuals or will it delve deeper into polarization and vigilante justice?
(Note to delegates: this committee will take place just prior to the events of Avengers: Infinity War)
