Court of King Harold II

Crisis Director: JT Yin (jy785@cornell.edu)

CHAIR: Coming soon!

The year is 1066. On his deathbed, King Edward the Confessor designates as his successor Harold Godwinson, Earl of Wessex and son of the most powerful man in England. Yet without blood relation to King Edward, the newly-crowned King Harold II’s claim to the throne is far from secure. Designating successors appeared to have been among the late King’s favorite pastimes. Worse, William, Duke of Normandy, alleges that two years ago the then-earl Harold swore an oath to the king that he would defend William’s right to the throne. Now, as the court of King Harold II, you must work to defend your leader’s claim to the throne and maintain Anglo-Saxon glory in England.
